At the CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Centre in Utrecht, The Netherlands, a 5-year postdoc position is available for a researcher in the area of the phylogeny, genomics and taxonomy of Hypocrealean fungi, with accent on clinically relevant species. Full information is available here.

A short report of the very successful meeting of the ECMM-ISHAM Working Group on Pseudallescheria / Scedosporium Infections held in Bonn, Germany, last May 2010 can be found here. We will keep you informed about the special issue of ‘Mycoses’ that is scheduled as outcome of this meeting.
The next international CBS Course Medical Mycology will take place in Utrecht, The Netherlands, 7-17 March, 2011. Full information on the course can be found here and registration can be done here. Students from European countries who wish to have 1-2 wk additional training in collection management and preservation techniques may be referred to the EMbaRC International Access funded by the EU FP7 program (here). This will enable to acquire sponsoring for the entire training period. Timely application for both events is recommended.
