ISHAM NEWS! (6-11-2008)

Dear Friends, The second circular with full information on the ISHAM Congress in Tokyo is available here. The congress will consist of more than 50 symposia, 5 keynote lectures, 1 special lecture and 8 luncheon and evening seminars, and with this number it will be one of the largest and most diverse congresses in medical mycology. About two-thirds of the symposia have confirmed chairpersons, which all are reputed scientists. For a  list of symposia and seminars, go here. This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest developments in clinical and fundamental science, and to make contacts with workers in established and emerging countries worldwide. The next international course in medical mycology of the Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures (CBS) will take place in Beijing, China, 1-15 June, 2009, directly after the ISHAM satellite meeting click here. For information on the course and registration, click here. The course is basically meant for Chinese workers, part of the lectures being given in Chinese. For the English-language edition of this course please refer to the CBS website; this course will be given in Utrecht, The Netherlands, 15-29 March, 2010.

The next scientific meeting of the Netherlands Society for Medical Mycology will be held in the afternoon of 10 December, 2008 in the auditorium of the Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures, Uppsalalaan 8, Utrecht, The Netherlands.
