Selection: Candidates may nominate themselves or be nominated by a co-author, via a letter to the Editor-in-Chief. Awarded by a judging committee, which includes the Editor-in-Chief.
Number awarded: 1 per year
Prize: A certificate, the Dr Ira F Salkin Medal and $500 presented at either the ISHAM Congress or a suitable regional ISHAM meeting.
