Become an ISHAM Senior Ambassador in your country
ISHAM Senior Ambassadors are respected leaders in our scientific community who represent ISHAM’s mission across their home countries. They play an essential role in connecting new specialists in human, veterinary, and environmental health with ISHAM, strengthening global capacity in medical, veterinary mycology and One Health framework. Senior Ambassadors support education, training, and professional development; promote ISHAM initiatives and membership; and collaborate closely with national mycology societies. They also collect feedback from ISHAM members in their country and convey these perspectives directly to the ISHAM Council through Ambassador program. The requirements to become an ISHAM Senior Ambassador are:
– Active ISHAM membership for at least three consecutive years.
– Demonstrated academic and professional expertise in Mycology, with an MD, DVM, or PhD, and a minimum of 10 years of postgraduate experience in the field.
– Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
– At least four hours per month dedicated to planning, coordinating, and implementing Ambassador activities.
– A track record of contributions to national, regional, or international scientific societies (preferred but not required).
