We are excited to announce a Joint Meeting between the following organizations:
On Wednesday, 17 December 2025, from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM CET, the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe), in collaboration with the Veterinary Mycology and One Health Working Group of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM), will host the free webinar “Animal Mycosis and Antifungal Resistance in a One Health Scenario”.
Veterinary mycology in a One Health context involves the study and management of fungal diseases that affect human, animal, and environmental health. This interdisciplinary framework addresses key issues such as antifungal resistance—spanning from agricultural use to clinical settings—and zoonotic or sapronotic infections that circulate between animals and humans. The contribution of veterinary mycology is essential, as animals may serve not only as patients but also as sentinels, reservoirs, or amplifiers of emerging fungal threats.
