MSGERC 2026 Biennial Meeting – Clinical Mycology Today

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am delighted to invite you to the MSGERC 2026 Biennial Meeting, Clinical Mycology Today, to be held September 9-11 at the Omni Interlocken Hotel, just outside Denver, Colorado, USA.

This is an extraordinary time for our illustrious society, which is experiencing a “renaissance” across all areas of our quadripartite mission–education, research, scholarship and patient advocacy–in the broad spectrum of illnesses caused by fungi. These opportunities are fueled by remarkable developments: an explosion of mega-data, advances in fungal and mycobiome genomic profiling, progress in personalized risk assessment, and the transformative potential of AI and biomaterial research.
The excitement is amplified by the introduction of several promising new antifungal agents and great strides in fungal diagnostics and immunotherapeutic strategies, all vital in addressing the shifting epidemiology of invasive fungal infections and the ongoing challenge of antifungal resistance.

The MSGERC continues to be recognized as a premier think tank in translational and clinical mycology, advocacy and awareness, and our Biennial Meeting will embody this distinction. We have developed a robust three-day scientific program, organized thematically around “The Bug,” “The Drug,” and “The Host.” Our agenda will explore the most pressing issues in contemporary clinical and translational mycology, featuring presentations by an outstanding group of established leaders and emerging voices in the field.

In the last year we have worked with zeal to bring new perspectives into our society through membership grass roots efforts, creating focused working groups led by junior faculty (and mentored by senior faculty), and expanding growth and leadership opportunities for our Early Career members. These new voices are enriching our community, shaping our organization’s future, and will be well represented in the 2026 Program,

The Biennial Meeting will provide a unique platform for scientists, clinicians, non-physician professionals, trainees, industry partners, and policy colleagues to exchange ideas on groundbreaking research, innovative diagnostics, and emerging therapies in medical mycology. Attendees will benefit from cutting-edge discussions, interactive sessions, and valuable networking opportunities with experts and industry leaders. Our corporate partners will also showcase the latest developments, offering valuable insights into the future of fungal therapeutics and diagnostics.

Please mark your calendars for September 9-11, 2026, and watch for our upcoming announcement when registration opens in the coming days. You can also stay up to date by visiting our 2026 Biennial Meeting Page

We look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Colorado for an unforgettable meeting!

Best regards,
