The Joseph E. Smadel Lecture is intended to honor someone whose science and investigations have impacted the understanding of the epidemiology, prevention, pathogenesis and/or control of infectious diseases in global public health. We believe your work on invasive fungal infections, antifungal resistance, and immune-pharmacologic approaches to control opportunistic fungi would make for an important presentation for the infectious diseases community.
