The ISHAM Working Groups on Chromoblastomycosis and on Black Yeasts will organize a joint meeting in Curitiba, Brazil, 1-4 December, 2011. The title of the meeting is “Black Yeast: Hidden Danger, Bright Promise”, referring to the dual ecology of these organisms, including medical aspects and beneficial applications. The 12th Western Pacific Congress on Chemotherapy and Infectious Diseases will be held in Singapore, 2-5 December 2010, under the title ”New Pathogens, New Challenges”. The congress is organised by the Society of Infectious Diseases Singapore in collaboration with the International Society of Chemotherapy and the Western Pacific Society of Chemotherapy. The 8th international symposium on Antimicrobial Agents and Resistance (ISAAR 2011) will take place in Seoul, South Korea, 6-8 April 2011 under the theme of “Advancing solutions to evolving resistance”.
