The ISHAM/ECMM Working Group ‘Fungal One Health Coalition for Universal Strategies to Contain Antimycotic Resistance’ (FOCUS AMR) serves as a bridge between policymakers, stakeholders, funders, and researchers to confront the growing challenge of antifungal resistance. We unite professionals across sectors and disciplines to accelerate solutions that protect human, animal, and environmental health.
Preventing antifungal resistance through One Health—protecting people, animals, and the
environment.
Advocate for medical mycology and the urgent threat of antifungal resistance.
Raise awareness, build consensus, and drive innovative, evidence-based solutions.
Inform and contribute to the development of effective policies at local, national, and
global levels.
We focus on the rising threat of antifungal resistance in fungal pathogens and the broader
health and environmental impacts of azole use, advancing a One Health approach to
surveillance, stewardship, and innovation.
