The new distance learning Medical Mycology Programme is taught fully online and is being delivered by experts from the MRC-CMM at the University of Exeter and members of the BSMM. This programme aims to build capacity in Medical Mycology and will enhance the knowledge, skills and experience of individuals working in the field of medical mycology via reflective learning. For the full Master's qualification, a research project / dissertation will be carried out during the 3rd year of the programme.
The programme will allow students from around the world (clinical and non-clinical) to gain a Postgraduate Certificate (PGcert), Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or a full Masters (MSc). The full MSc course includes 12 modules spanning themes on: fungal taxonomy and nomenclature, physiology and metabolism of fungal pathogens, diagnosis of fungal infection, fungal pathogenicity, and fungal diagnostic tools and much more. Graduates completing this programme will have a wide knowledge of medical mycology, fungal immunology, infection, mycoses, antifungal therapy, and fungal diagnostics.

Workshop on black yeast and allied fungi in Adana, Turkey, 11-12 May 2023, is taking shape. The workshop will cover environmental black fungi, where a main theme will be extremotolerance, as well as medical aspects, with developments on hromoblastomycosis and CARD9-related disease.
The workshop venue will be the Ramada Hotel in Adana (https://www.ramadaadana.com/)in the heart of the city center. We hope you will be able to join physically, to experience the pleasant atmosphere of our workshops, and to enjoy Turkish hospitality. All participants are invited to present their work, which provides an excellent opportunity for students to give a talk for an international public.
